Brand Identity / Brand Language
Qatar Museums (QM) enlisted our help to elevate and adapt the touring Labour of Love: Embroidering Palestinian History exhibition for a global audience. Our challenge was to create a visual identity for the exhibition that was inspired by tatreez embroidery and captured the hearts of a diverse and international audience.
Together with QM, we homed in on tatreez, an ancient Palestinian embroidery technique with a history so rich that it is now considered a national treasure. We took inspiration from the intricate patterns and delicate stitches of the embroidery and used them as the foundation for the exhibition's visual language. The detailing of the embroidery is eye-catching so we aimed to portray the practice’s evolution as it went from being a personal practice to a core part of Palestinian culture and heritage.
